To increase program efficiency and further the missions of Sexual Assault Support Services and A Safe Place by pursuing options related to the creation of a strategic alliance.

To advance oral health public policy in New Hampshire by promoting the Coalition for New Hampshire Oral Health Action's public policy agenda.

To develop an evidence based Child and Family Mental Health Treatment Program for homeless women and children suffering the health consequences of trauma, substance use and mental health disorders by undergoing an intensive planning process that will 1) draw on the expertise of community stakeholders; 2) thoroughly research evidence based treatment programs through literature reviews, site visits, review of curricula and conferences; 3) establish linkages with existing service providers; and 4) prepare and train staff for implementation of the treatment curriculum.

To improve medical outcomes for Cancer Center & Wound Healing Institute patients through integration of Oral Health Education into their specialty medical care by 1) developing Oral Health Education protocols for medical staff, 2) utilize dentists and hygienists to educate medical staff and 3) provide access to one-on-one meetings for patients with dental staff for education and evaluation of existing dental problems.

To develop an implementation and financing plan to expand and enhance the utilization of Evidence Based Practices (EBP'S) for community mental health programs serving NH children, adolescents, adults and seniors by supporting research and developing the collaborations needed to create and implement a Center of Excellence (COE).

To build the capacity of government, health and human services leaders, workers and the systems that deliver patient care throughout New England to more effectively address the issue of minority health disparities by holding a bi-annual conference to discuss ways to reduce racial and ethnic health disparities in these workers.

The goal of the proposed grant is to complete the process of planning for a new dental clinic to serve residents in greater Manchester who currently lack access to dental care. In addition, the grant will allow the consultant to provide oversight during the opening of the clinic during 2007.

To improve access to health insurance for NH's young adults by expanding age eligibility to existing public and private health insurance products.

To reduce childhood lead paint poisoning in New Hampshire through a coordinated approach to improving NH's lead poisoning prevention policies by convening a strong coalition of diverse interests, establishing a communications network, advocating for primary prevention and other sound policies, and developing recommendations for future strategic investment by funders.

To develop systems dynamics based models of healthcare to permit use of simulation tools in healthcare policy making.

To improve the mental health of NH's children and their families by seeking and documenting input from families and youth on the public and private mental health delivery system.

To educate health care professionals, civic and organizational leaders, and community representatives serving racial, ethnic, and linguistic minority populations and other medically underserved audiences in New Hampshire about the disproportionate cancer burden experienced by such vulnerable population groups and discuss strategies to address the barriers to effective cancer prevention and treatment by offering a one day conference.
