At the Endowment for Health, we work to raise awareness of important health issues as well as the factors that create good health and realized potential for all. Our communication channels provide weekly updates on national, regional and state health policy. We also publish an e-newsletter featuring updates on all of our Targeted Initiatives and the work of our community partners. Subscribe
Media Relations: We will be happy to arrange interviews with various subject matter experts for journalists who are covering health and health care stories as well as articles about philanthropy. The Endowment for Health awarded more than $3.4 million in grants since the start of the pandemic, supporting a wide array of projects focused on communities and organizations working to alleviate the health, social and economic impacts of COVID-19. Resources helped to address complex social problems that were intensified over the past 16 months, including strengthening the mental health support network, suicide prevention, resources for families with young children, health care workforce stabilization, and championing the work of New Hampshire’s public health professionals.

“The Endowment’s field-building strategy continues to support the work of coalitions and advocacy efforts aimed at driving systems change,” said Endowment for Health Chief Financial Officer Sue Fulton. “Over the past year, the Endowment awarded 77 grants to 40 organizations with an average grant size of more than $39,000,” she said, adding that the Endowment’s support goes beyond grantmaking or dollar size.

Two years in the making, Giving Care: A Strategic Plan to Expand and Support New Hampshire’s Health Care Workforce has both immediate and long-term recommendations, some requiring policy changes or new funding, and others calling for collaboration among stakeholders and the creation of a central repository for the state’s scattered workforce data.
