To strengthen New Hampshire's efforts to address racial and ethnic health disparities by supporting participation in the New England Regional Minority Health Committee's (NERMHC) Regional Conference.

To increase knowledge about immigration issues nationally and locally, to build social capital and collaborative capacity among individuals and institutions, and to enable active civic engagement by providing public humanities education for NH citizens.

To assist Somali women and their families in becoming educated, empowered and active participants in their own health care by providing bi-lingual, bi-cultural case management, medical interpretation and home-based health education through a Somali woman health educator.

To improve social connectedness for immigrant/refugee students and parents in the Manchester School District with their schools, city systems, their native-born neighbors, and each other through programming for children, youth and parents.

To improve capacity to assess the health care needs and concerns of New Hampshire

To increase knowledge of national best practices for community health workers and participate in site visits to refugee serving nonprofits in Minnesota.

To improve the capacity among NH health care professionals for appropriately addressing the health care needs of children with disabilities and their families by convening health care professionals for a series of film screenings and dialogues.

To sustain financial management changes by retaining a consultant to assist with the setting up of new accounting software.

To ensure quality advocacy, nonprofit capacity building and knowledge development for the health system in NH in order to improve the health of NH residents by sustaining the general operations of key NH nonprofits.

To improve the mental health of refugee and non-English speaking minority youth through the creation of trauma informed systems of care by conducting a needs assessment utilizing community dialogue strategies.

To improve the quality of healthcare offered by New Hampshire hospitals and other providers by promoting cultural effectiveness within organizations and facilitating innovation to ensure delivery of culturally sensitive and appropriate care via the Medical Interpretation Advisory Board and a Cultural Awareness Healthcare Workgroup.

To reduce social and cultural barriers to health and well-being for immigrants and refugees in the City of Nashua by strengthening coordination among municipal, social and health care agencies to better serve new arrivals, empowering individuals to navigate various public systems and improving the provision of culturally and linguistically appropriate services.
