To provide technical assistance and support in the preparation of a grant application to the US Department of Health and Human Services, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration under its Cooperative Agreements for Comprehensive Community Mental Health Services for Children and Their Families Program.

The goal of this discussion would be to give Seacoast leaders an understanding of the impact and interconnectedness between needs, costs, and service delivery.

To inform and influence policy makers about the impact of the nonprofit sector and to broaden awareness of the role the sector plays as a partner with business and government in finding solutions to our shared challenges by improving the advocacy skills and tools of NH's statewide nonprofit association.

To enhance the capacity of nonprofit organizations to understand the implications and importance of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA).

To enhance the quality of services provided by Child Advocacy Centers statewide, develop standardized practice and assist with growth and sustainability by developing a model for centralized administration and oversight.

To enhance public policy and health advocacy in NH by building operational and management capacity of the organization.

To expand health education capacity and our continuum of health-focused media education programs through technical assistance to create a business, capacity, marketing and communications messaging and action plan.

To help state and local planners, policy makers and practitioners better understand the complex economic, social and demographic forces influencing NH by conducting a timely and independent analysis of Census 2010 and five year American Community Survey data.

To identify the best structure for a sustainable advocacy voice for minority health in NH by convening key stakeholders.

To strengthen State and local capacity to deliver high-quality oral health services by providing access to expert speakers on important oral health issues.

To improve access to dental care for children in NH by developing & securing the introduction of legislation to establish a new type of primary care dental practitioner.

To adopt a state budget for the 2012/2013 biennium that includes adequate revenues to support the basic health and human service needs of NH citizens.
