Frances Strayer

Frances retired in the Spring of 2022 from Plymouth State University (PSU) as Coordinator of Field Education in the Social Work Department. She was also a Social Work teaching lecturer at PSU.

Frances was a Licensed Clinical Social Worker employed as a counselor in the Ossipee and Moultonborough schools for over 30 years. While there she worked on access to mental health care, suicide prevention teams, crisis response teams, parent outreach and education, community supports and social/emotional support and education.

Her work with non-profits has included being a Board member of New Futures, Lakes Region Community Developers, Endowment for Health Advisory Council, NH School Social Workers Association: Co-chair, Sandwich Children's Center, Sandwich Citizens Housing Coalition, Moultonborough Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Coalition.

Frances and her husband live in Sandwich.
