Frances Strayer

Frances is the Coordinator of Field Education in the Social Work Department at Plymouth State University (PSU). She has also been a teaching lecturer at PSU in Social Work.

She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and was employed as a counselor in the Ossipee and Moultonborough schools for over 30 years. While there she worked on suicide prevention teams, crisis response teams, parent outreach and education, community supports and social/emotional support and education.

Her work with non-profits has included being a Board member of New Futures, Endowment for Health Advisory Council, NH School Social Workers Association: Co-chair, Sandwich Children's Center, Sandwich Citizens Housing Coalition, Moultonborough Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Coalition.

She is a current Board member of Lakes Region Community Developers and the Development Committee of Lakes Region Conservation Trust. Frances lives in Sandwich with her husband.
