Helen F. Mrema, MSW (they/them) is a clinical social worker at Therapists of Color New England. Helen is passionate about making various clinical modalities and therapeutic care accessible to marginalized and disenfranchised communities especially. This was inspired by the journey Helen and their family underwent navigating various systems and cultural barriers as first generation immigrants from Tanzania assimilating in an industrialized western country.

Helen is proud to be partnered with the Endowment for Health as an advisory council member, especially due to their ongoing commitment to centering the human experience in their planning process, and their prioritization of equitable access to health and safety for Black, LGBT+ and all marginalized communities.
