Susan is the Community Health Director at Memorial Hospital in North Conway, NH, and Chair of the NH State Commission on Aging. Susan is also the Project Director of an Administration of Community Living (ACL) grant designed to make Mount Washington Valley (MWV) a Dementia Capable Community. She has expertise in aging, in particular, caring for people with dementia.

A trained nurse, Susan obtained her Masters of Nursing and PhD in geriatrics from Boston College, focusing on promoting quality of life for people with dementia and their families. She serves on the steering committee of the MWV Age Friendly Community Initiative and is committed to changing the face of aging in the region and at the state level.

Susan has a broad definition of health and wellness recognizing the importance of the social determinants of health. She oversees the Community Health Needs Assessment for Memorial Hospital and is involved in multiple projects throughout the age spectrum.
