Tanisha serves as the first full-time Executive Director of Black Lives Matter NH to advocate for policy change, provide mutual aid, and educate communities across New Hampshire.
She is a dedicated nonprofit leader, racial equity educator, and social justice advocate currently residing in Exeter. Tanisha holds a Bachelor’s degree in Organizational Psychology and a Master’s in Business Administration, combining strategic insight with a deep understanding of human behavior and systems change.
In July 2020, Tanisha co-founded the Black Lives Matter Seacoast Chapter, which has since grown into Black Lives Matter New Hampshire (BLM NH)—a statewide organization committed to dismantling anti-Blackness and confronting systemic injustice.
She is also the former co-host of The Conversations We Should Be Having, a groundbreaking podcast created in collaboration with the Chief of Police in Eliot, Maine, which explored meaningful and often difficult dialogues around race, policing, and community accountability. As a mother and community builder, Tanisha’s passion for empowerment and activism is deeply rooted in her lived experiences and commitment to justice.
