To initiate the design and implementation of an innovative statewide system of HIV casefinding & referral using the Internet to provide access & early health care intervention for at-risk & AIDS-diagnosed gay and bisexual men.

To continue to develop & implement a system that will provide single point of entry/intake, eligibility screening, referral processing, & care coordination applications to agencies serving underserved & underinsured populations in New Hampshire.

To initiate a project to demonstrate the integration of oral health promotion & prevention activities into the routine primary care of low income children in a community health center model.

The Endowment for Health initiated the FrameWorks Institute to develop a communications plan for the Endowment's Uninsured Project. The objective of the proposal is to determine the culture of our constituency and its composition. We must understand to whom do we wish to communicate and how should these messages be delivered, emphasizing certain issues and avoiding others. We want to prevent public backlash and, at the same time, create support for change in New Hampshire. There are three components of this proposal including:
Solicitation, Survey Research and creating a communication strategy.

To support the implementation of this project to enhance the cultural competency of the organization and outreach to developmentally delayed minority populations and their families.

To increase the volume of care & to reduce waiting time for restorative care or oral surgery; to host a dental externship program; to create a dental lab & to expand education, prevention and volunteer programs.

To expand current school-based preventive oral health services in several Rockingham communities in conjunction with the Exeter Hospital oral health van.

To initiate a project to increase the awareness & knowledge of medical care providers about dental disease; to maximize opportunities for pediatricians/family physicians to utilize preventive oral health interventions; to facilitate cooperation between medical & dental communities.

To identify & address the long term needs of high risk adolescents to prevent teen pregnancy utilizing a school-based model in Manchester middle schools.

To continue a newly instituted program in Nashua developed with the NH Minority Health Coalition to increase access to mental health care for Latino/Hispanic populations & to transfer the model to other communities.

To strengthen the financial sustainability of NH CHC fundraising; to provide financial TA for systems barriers in operations of CHC's.

The Access Project proposes to work in partnership with the National Health Law Program (NHeLP) on an effort to educate and inform hospitals, health care providers, immigrant and health advocates, and groups interested in expanding health care access of the availability of federal funds to defray the cost of providing language interpreters. Between June and December of 2002, TAP and NHeLP propose to develop an Language Services Action Kit for nationwide distribution and implement work in 2 to 4 states supporting provider/immigrant coalitions. These coalitions will work to educate opinion leaders and policy makers on the importance of providing language services and investigate the feasibility of implementing the federal reimbursement option for these services.
